When is Rent due?
Your rent is due on the first of each month with a grace period until
the 3rd. The morning of the 4th, there is a $50 initial late charge and
$5 per day until the rent is paid in full.
What if my check bounces?
If a check is returned for insufficient funds, it is subject the late
charges through the day that it is repaid by cashier's check or money
order. In addition, there is a $25-$35 charge for returned checks,
depending on the property where you reside.
What is the policy for breaking a lease?
If your lease term is not fulfilled, you are assessed an amount equal to
85% of one month's rent. This is called the cost of reletting. It does
not negate your obligation to pay rent through the term of the lease or
until the apartment is leased to another person.
